Transitional Housing

Bridgeview Community

The Bridgeview Community is a 48 bed Transitional Housing Program in downtown Portland. Bridgeview provides low-barrier, short-term stabilization that serves as the first step in building a positive rental history, obtaining treatment, and developing essential life skills. The program is designed to bring individuals off the streets, engage them in treatment and help them to move to independent housing. Clients sign a six month lease and are expected to move to more independent housing within 18 months, with a maximum stay of 24 months.

Residents have an individual Single Room Occupancy unit with shared kitchens, showers, and common spaces. They receive three meals daily. The secure building is staffed 7 days a week/24 hours a day by professional mental health staff.   Additional services include: case management, mental health treatment and support services, integrated substance use treatment, medication management, physical health care coordination, skills training, assistance obtaining benefits and permanent housing placement.
